Litigation Assistant or Paralegal The candidate will include supporting four litigation attorneys, and approximately 50 files in various states of pre-suit, investigation, discovery, litigation, and settlement. Experience in the plaintiff's personal injury arena. Working very closely with a top litigation partner and a team specializing in plaintiff personal injury, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death matters. Analyzing policy coverage limits, provisions, exclusions, and endorsements for personal injury. Drafting standard pleadings, and discovery documents Assisting with all phases of pre-litigation and litigation; including motion practice, discovery, trial preparation, file analysis, and research. Case calendar management. Should have knowledge of Case Management and Document Management Software (Needles) a plus, training will be provided. PC and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency with excellent typing skills. Must be familiar with Word features, such as mail merge, and Adobe, such as editing pdf documents, and PowerPoint for creation of presentations. Should be a critical thinker, proactive, organized, and self-motivated. Some travel to NJ satellite offices or client meetings may be required. ABA or BS degree and experience in a law firm are required.
