Immigration Attorney The Law Firm is looking for an Immigration Attorney to join their team and provide comprehensive legal services in many areas of immigration. This position is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or attorneys looking for an opportunity to develop expertise in the immigration field. Job Responsibilities: Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court in Memphis (EOIR) Appear with individuals before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for family-based matters, as well as for adjustment of status and naturalization interviews Prepare asylum applications and appear with individuals at the Asylum Office for asylum interviews Handle client meetings and consultations Draft briefs, motions, affidavits, letters, responses to requests for evidence/notices of intent to deny Meet deadlines Manage a large caseload Comply with all legal and ethical standards, maintaining good standing with all Bar Associations Work outside normal office hours as needed according to caseload Requirements: JD degree (Internship or at least 1 year of work experience in immigration field is preferred) Active Bar license (in a good standing) or waiting to take the Bar Exam Have excellent research and writing skills Relocation to Memphis, TN is necessary (no relocation reimbursement) Spanish (both written and spoken) preferred Must be a team player Compensation and Benefits: The total compensation for this position ranges based on experience.
