Immigration Paralegal Duties: Support the firm s attorneys and senior paralegals in the preparation and filing of petitions and applications with USCIS, DOL, and DOS. This includes all aspects of immigration case management, including preparing routine correspondence, researching immigration laws and procedures, gathering information, helping to develop case strategies, and preparing immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions. Collect information and documentation from clients; Prepare/draft filings to relevant federal and state agencies; Conduct research of immigration law and procedures; Prepare draft correspondence and memoranda; Enter case information into computerized databases and case management systems; Track the status of filings and inform the client of any follow up that may be necessary; Train support staff on immigration practice and procedures; Maintain confidentiality of client information; and Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor s degree required. 1+ year of experience as an immigration paralegal. Experience preparing non-immigrant (e.g., H-1B, L-1, E-3, TN, etc.) filings is a plus; English language fluency with excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), and problem-solving skills. (Must provide a writing sample); Prior experience with direct client communication required; Outstanding organizational and time management skills; Must be able to work effectively under strict time deadlines while handling significant case volumes; Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on ability to work with a team; Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Ability to quickly adapt to new or changing systems and applications is key. Experience with database software or case management systems a plus.
