Senior Family Law Paralegal The candidate' must have (1+ year of experience in a law firm setting is required and 3+ years experience in family law is preferred). Applicant does not need to be a certified paralegal, but must know how to draft petitions, basic motions (motion to enter or a motion to set), rule 11 agreements and decrees/orders (using office templates or Westlaw Form Builder) as well as efile these documents as needed and calculate child support. Paralegal will be expected to know how to effectuate service of process on filings and subpoenas as well as how to set up hearings or mediations. Paralegal will be responsible for managing family law cases from start to finish and assigning tasks to other staff members as necessary.
