Trial Paralegal The candidate will be preparing affidavits and correspondence, discussing case details with Attorneys, and clients and organizing different files for different legal proceedings. Summarizing cases and preparing reports for attorneys. Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments. Drafting legal documents such as contracts, depositions and pleadings. Preparing and electronically filing documents with State and Federal Courts. Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases. Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes. Calendaring hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, work with clients. Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Aiding attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Gathering relevant information from a variety of sources. Proven working experience as a Trial Paralegal is required. Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, procedures, practices, etc. is required. Extensive computer and legal database software experience is required. Experience and knowledge with trial software and equipment is required.
