Legal Secretary The candidate performs moderately complex legal secretarial work. Prepares and types legal and administrative correspondence and documents, maintains legal files, manages attorney calendar, communicates with clients, opposing counsel, and courts. Civil litigation and trial practice experience preferred. Should have extensive knowledge of court policies and procedures. Transcribe dictation, organize and maintain files and records and communicate effectively in a business environment. Works under moderate supervision. Must have knowledge of legal practices and terminology. Should have understanding of spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and grammar. Should have ability to organize and calendar attorney meetings/events. Must have 5 years' experience as a legal secretary. Some college education is preferred.
