Legal Secretary/Assistant The candidate works under the direction of the Managing Attorney performing complex legal research; preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.; reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; closing intakes, and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation. Responsibilities may include acting as primary interface with trial attorneys, experts, clients and other client staff. Some of the Duties and Responsibilities include: Updating, maintaining, and organizing client information binders and other legal files. Scanning, Printing, and Copying. Mailing documents. Maintaining records and invoices. Answering and returning phone calls in a timely manner and relaying messages to managing attorney. Scheduling appointments and meeting. Scheduling, conducting and analyzing client intakes. Providing support and assistance for the office attorneys, law clerks and legal assistants. Managing emails. Coursework and experience in law and health care. Ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and quickly. Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on-site with government clients. Preferably, has eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks similar to the duties and responsibilities described.
