Salary Information The salary range for the KM Content Paralegal position is commensurate with experience. KM Content Paralegal At Ogletree Deakins, our Greenville, SC office has the opportunity for an experienced KM Content Paralegal to join the Firm's expanding practice. Our KM Content Paralegal will be part of our Knowledge Management (KM) department and will report directly to the Director of KM Content. Job Summary The role of the KM Content Paralegal is to: Help the KM Content team of attorneys develop and maintain content aimed to maximize client compliance with complex employment law requirements. Research, monitor and organize key federal and multi-jurisdictional employment law developments across a wide variety of employment law topics, with the guidance of KM Content Counsel. Assist the KM Content Counsel team in locating, drafting and/or updating KM content documents. Ensure KM content is accurate, up-to-date, organized, and complies with internal requirements. This position may be remote. Essential Functions Monitor labor and employment law developments in states, localities, and other jurisdictions to keep client-facing digital platforms and tools for multistate and multi-locality compliance current and accurate. Conduct research and draft timely updates for firm products, including templates and summaries of state and local law (and some federal law) developments for client-facing digital platforms and products. Help ensure that client-facing law summaries, documents, maps, and tools in an online portal are up-to-date, organized, and branded. Gain expertise in the functionality of the firm's current and forthcoming digital products, including our content management system, and use that knowledge to facilitate continuous improvement of our client-facing content and processes. Respond to KM Content Team and Portal subject matter expert requests for assistance by finding prior firm work product and making updates in digital products. Use internal firm electronic resources including enterprise search, the firm's intranet, and the firm's iManage document management system (DMS). Collaborate with firm attorneys and members of the firm's Client Services, Knowledge Management, and IT departments to ensure that clients and firm attorneys receive timely notice of state, local, and some federal law changes. Assist with ongoing KM departmental projects, including project management, and help with periodic updates of KM resources. Respond to inquiries with professionalism, confidence, analysis, and tact commensurate with that of a mid- to senior-level paralegal. Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams; Lexis and WestLaw; Smartsheet; as well as internal firm systems including firm intranet, enterprise search, and internal document management system. Able to operate multi-line phone, calculator, cell phone, copier, fax, scanner. Three or more years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a labor/employment litigation practice Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university. Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction. Willing to commit to additional hours when necessary to reach Firm objectives. Initiative - Takes independent actions and reasonable risks; Asks for and offers help when needed. Knowledge - In-depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles, particularly those pertaining to labor and employment practice.
