Litigation Attorney - Asbestos/toxic tort The candidate should have 1-3 years of experience to work with their practice focused on the defense of complex asbestos, environmental and other product liability matters. The candidate's duties include: Taking depositions, attending hearings, and mediations as required; Drafting pleadings and briefs; Preparing correspondence to colleagues and clients; Conducting legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis; Drafting interrogatories and document demands; Reviewing document collections in preparation for litigation; Submitting filings to the court. J.D./LLM required. Admission to practice in California and New York is required; Admission to practice in New Jersey, Missouri, Illinois, and/or Maryland is a plus. Litigation experience is required; Commercial litigation experience is ideal. Asbestos/toxic tort experience is a plus. Court room experience including motions is a plus. Trial experience is a plus. Exceptional legal writing and communication skills required. Strong interpersonal skills required. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects required. Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly required.
