Paralegal - Workers' Compensation Defense The candidate will be requesting, obtaining and summarizing medical records. Will be drafting responses to discovery. Scheduling depositions, witness interviews and other meetings. Interviewing witnesses. Preparing file materials and exhibits for depositions, mediations, hearings and trials. Managing attorney schedules and calendars. Maintains an exceptional customer service attitude and demeanor at all times. Takes ownership; gets the job done without the need for prodding or supervision. Adapts well to fluctuations in workload and changes in responsibilities. Maintains a professional demeanor in high-stress situations. Works effectively and efficiently to complete all tasks in a timely manner. Maintains a positive and can do attitude when dealing with clients, co-workers, and attorneys. Contributes to an atmosphere of teamwork and congeniality. The candidate should preferably have 3+ years of workers A? compensation defense experience. Must have ability to meet billing expectations. Must have very strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and work load is required. Must have excellent communication and written language skills. Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.
