The firm is currently seeking a Workers' Compensation Paralegal in Memphis, Tennessee to join their team. This position comes with competitive pay and a generous bonus plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to: * Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, Petitions for Benefits, and legal memoranda * E-filing all court documents with OJCC * Communicating with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties relevant to the case files * Conducting legal research and factual investigation * Preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses * Drafting and serving summons subpoenas and notices * Coordinating and summarizing depositions, (IME and EMA appointments, conference calls) * Preparing trial binders and exhibits with legal assistant * Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents to file with the court * Maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes * Organizing medical composites, exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices * Aiding attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests * Gathering and maintaining relevant information from a variety of sources (ex: medical records, witnesses, and clients) * Liaising between trial teams and internal and external third parties * Helping with witness preparation * Helping with case settlements and execution of settlement documents with clients Qualified candidates should possess an Associate degree or higher, certificate, or equivalent work experience. Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. In addition, at least two years of working experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting is required. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision.
