Associate Attorney - Family Law The candidate will be conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and assisting with legal counsel. Will be keeping files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients. Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings. Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice. Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently. The candidate should be an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA). Must have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school. Should have 3+ years of experience handling family law cases (non-negotiable). Advanced knowledge of computer technology and the Internet (MS Word and Excel) and the ability to learn new programs easily are essential. Should have some courtroom experience and strong legal research and writing skills.
