Paralegal The candidate will perform various clerical and routine paralegal and support tasks. Will be docketing cases, preparing routine and non-routine pleadings, verifying and reconciling information for pleadings, providing a point of contact for clients and courts while maintaining the quality and timelines of the legal processes. Will review steps of file management software on a daily basis to work assigned matters accordingly. Will prepare pleadings as required or directed by attorney. Will update file management software with notes and uploads. Will respond to client and court requests for status or information in a professional, courteous, and prompt manner. Will coordinate appearances by local attorneys and assemble necessary documentation for hearings. Will maintain court calendars for pending matters. Will contact courts as needed The candidate should have Paralegal Certification. Should have associate degree in related field or combined equivalent of education and experience. Should have ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate appropriate initiative when making decisions. Should have excellent time-management, organizational and communication skills. Should have accuracy and the ability to handle a high-volume of work efficiently are essential to this position. Should have 2+ years customer service experience and general office experience. Entry level understanding of legal and court concepts, such as rules of civil procedure. Must have advanced computer skills and have prior office experience. Must be comfortable learning new systems, using file management software and working in multiple systems. Must also have a stable work history and a motivation and drive to succeed.
