Intellectual Property Trademark Prosecution Paralegal Responsibilities : The candidate will monitor and maintain trademark prosecution docket for due dates for responses, maintenance filings, renewals, oppositions and cancellations. Conduct trademark searches. Draft trademark/service mark applications, affidavits of use, maintenance and renewal filings, and assignment agreements. Facilitate submission of trademark prosecution filings with United States Patent and Trademark Office. Draft responses to trademark examining attorney s official action. Draft client communications regarding trademark prosecution matters. Facilitate filings in Trademark Trial and Appeal Board matters. Communicate with foreign trademark counsel and agents regarding registration and maintenance matters. Draft powers of attorney and handling of documents for foreign prosecution needs. Draft Madrid Protocol applications and facilitate filings through the World Intellectual Property Association. Prepare cost estimates for domestic and foreign trademark filings. Research Domestic and International trademark laws and procedures. Other Duties as assigned. Requirements : The candidate should have Four-year degree in relevant field and 5-10 years of relevant past experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful employee will demonstrate sound problem-solving skills, prioritization skills, customer service ethic, listening skills, written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively interact successfully with all levels within the Firm, and ability to handle multiple, competing, and changing priorities.
