Title : Real Estate Paralegal

Real Estate Paralegal Duties: The candidate will prepare the documentation necessary to real estate matters, including purchases, sales, loans, closings, leases and other matters, along with preparing settlement statements and performing title searches. Review title, surveys, amendments, leases, subleases, or purchase agreements. Coordinate due diligence for a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including, but not limited to: purchase, sale and loan closings and leases. Search title and summarize title commitments and surveys. Work closely with title companies to clear title and obtain title policies. Perform and summarize UCC, judgment, tax, and other lien searches. Prepare and file a variety of documents, including: deeds, deeds of trust, memoranda of leases, UCC financing statements, bill of sale, affidavit of title, and transfer declarations. Coordinate and facilitate closings, including preparation of closing checklist and binders, coordination of closing calendar, and follow-up on post-closing matters. Organize and produce final document deliverables for clients, opposing counsel, and real estate attorneys. Assist with formations of LLCs, partnerships, and other entities. Obtain good standing and existence certificates and similar material from the Secretary of State or other appropriate government offices. Independently organize and manage files or delegate similar tasks to appropriate support staff. Qualifications: The candidate should preferably have a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program; significant, substantive related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. And 2-5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions required. Proficiency with title and survey review required. Experience representing borrowers and developers preferred. Ability to examine, evaluate and summarize large quantities of information. Proficiency with MS Office Suite, SoftPro, and document management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond in a timely and professional manner to the high client and attorney demands. Ability to interact effectively and professionally and provide exceptional service, internally and externally, at all times. Highly organized, able to prioritize workflow, and manage projects independently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team; ability and inclination to adapt to changing business demands, willingness to train others. Ability to produce an acceptable amount of work efficiently and accurately; ability to produce a quality final work product.
