Litigation Paralegal Duties: Manage and supervise case coordinator. Review cases for missing documentation before filing. Prepare lawsuits and have suits served. Prepare written discovery. Set up depositions. Notify clients of obligations, deadlines. Manage attorney's calendar. Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery as needed. Filing case pleadings/motions and following up with court or third party company. Receive and maintain attorney's mail and faxes. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and/or a certificate of completion from a paralegal program. 5+ years of paralegal experience required. Experience with legal software like Abacus, Needles or Essential Forms is a must. Experience supervising staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision. Understanding of legal software and willingness to learn new programs. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
