Associate Attorney Candidate will work in various areas of litigation, including commercial, insurance and municipal litigation. Will include: Handling commercial litigation cases from client intake to securing and enforcing a judgement. Meeting with clients and potential clients. Initial investigations and legal research. Preparation of demand letters. Participate in settlement negotiations. Drafting of pleadings. Drafting discovery demands and discovery responses. Conducting and defending depositions. Preparation of motion papers. Preparation and participation in mediations and/or arbitrations. Preparation and participation in trials. Drafting and enforcing judgements. Communicating with clients and witnesses. All other actions necessary in a civil litigation practice group. Qualifications: Licensed by the New York State Bar Association. 3+ years of hands-on litigation experience. An excellent work ethic, being self-motivated with an ability to work independently as well as within a team. Unwavering integrity. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
