Attorney - Workers' Compensation Defense Duties: The candidate will represent clients in all phases of litigation, practicing law in compliance with ethical standards as established by state law. Conduct legal research and pre-trial discovery. Provide legal analysis and advice. Prepare legal pleadings and correspondence in support of defense strategies. Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and other appearances. Provide effective and timely communications, legal advice, and other services to clients. Market existing and potential clients. Qualifications: The candidate should have a JD Degree from an accredited law school, licensed to practice in CA. Must have 2+ years of current or recent experience in CA WC defense or applicant practice. Knowledge of current WC case law and Labor Code, and experience with depos and before the WCAB. Well-organized with good analytical skills. Customer focus and quality client relation skills are important.
