Paralegal Duties: Responsible for all aspects of case management from inception to conclusion, including: drafting pleadings, discovery and responses, motions, correspondence, subpoenas, settlement documents, stipulations and orders, analyzing and summarizing medical and employment records; preparing medical and factual chronologies; reviewing and cataloguing discovery and other voluminous materials; discussing cases with expert witnesses and preparing affidavits; researching issues relevant to cases; attending meetings, witness interviews, depositions, hearings and trials; preparing trial notebooks and exhibits; and overall maintenance and management of case files. Qualifications: 2 or 4-year degree preferred. 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience required in the areas of health care, employment law and general liability. Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks. Detail and deadline oriented. Ability to review and analyze documents. Ability to work independently. Ability to work within a litigation team. Ability to capture billable hours. Must possess excellent communication and customer/client service skills. Ability to identify and question when information is missing or incomplete. Strong work ethic. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products and Adobe Pro DC. Knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
