Attorney Engagement Assistant The candidate will assist with New Associate Orientation logistics, including conference room reservations, catering, and Conference Tech requests. Update NAO materials, as requested. Track attorney mentoring program updates and assist with the mentor assignment process. Support all New York Practice Group events and logistics, including Office Hours, Homerooms, and Mentoring Circles. Work alongside the Legal Recruiting team during the Summer Program. Shadow senior members on the team with respect to Practice Group and Professional Network support. Process expense reports and checks requests. Ensure established guidelines and best practices are followed and identify efficiencies. Miscellaneous administrative duties such as filing, creating labels, nametags, scanning, and copying. Manage calendars for Attorney engagement. Requires both event planning experience and experience managing and maintaining complex data, a strong ability to prioritize competing demands, and the ability to work independently. Should be highly organized, possess excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; very strong attention to detail; a professional demeanor, and the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and demands. Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and offices to achieve results. Need to be flexible and may need to work at off-site event locations, travel for events, and work overtime as needed. A Bachelor's degree is required in addition to 1+ years of relevant experience. Law firm experience is a plus. Technical experience should include MS Word, PowerPoint, and proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, website maintenance/content administration, database maintenance, or experience with SharePoint is a plus.
