Attorney Recruiting & Development Assistant Duties: Monitor the Attorney Recruiting Team shared email box. Coordinate interviews and consolidate interviewers feedback after interviews. Assist with the organization of annual attorney on and off campus recruiting events, including on-site support as a representative of the Recruitment team. Assist with coordination of major annual attorney training programs, such as University, Deposition Training and Writing Advocacy. Serve as liaison to attorneys and staff on assigned training and development programs. Assist with the coordination of department meetings and local training and development programs (which may require lunch hour and evening overtime), ideal candidate can be flexible when working and staying off site. Independently liaise with outside vendors as necessary. Independently liaise and coordinate with firm departments with respect to assigned training and development programs. Support the Bay Area Offices summer associate training program. Communicate and collaborate with other offices on scheduling, handouts, logistical and technical meeting support. Appropriately inform department managers of necessary information related to programming Process local diversity and pro bono related sponsorships as necessary Provide excellent customer service Prepare statistical reports, including attendance reports for training programs Enter new associate hire data into the Personnel Action Request System (PARS). Miscellaneous administrative duties such as filing, creating labels, scanning and copying. Attend Attorney Recruiting, Training & Development Department staff meetings. Assist with training, development, alumni, pro bono and diversity projects as needed. Prepare and distribute department materials. Assist in meeting support. Accurate and timely entry of departmental data into various databases. Maintain files. Prepare check requests and expense reports. Maintain departmental calendars. Provide event support. General administrative duties including filing, copying, and document preparation. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree is required. Law firm or professional services experience is preferred. Technical experience should include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet usage. Typing speed of 50+ wpm is required. Highly organized, possess excellent proofing and communication (oral and written) skills; the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; a very strong attention to detail; and a professional demeanor. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to achieve results. Requires a high level of collaboration with attorneys and staff and the ability exercise independent judgment.
