Paralegal Personal Injury Mass Tort The candidate will be responsible to manage all stages of a personal injury claim, including intake, pre-litigation, litigation and resolution. Order reports, medical records and bills; summarize medical records; draft demand letters; prepare discovery; negotiate subrogation liens; create damage charts and spreadsheets; prepare settlement memorandums; maintain and organize files. Client communication, Answer phones and screen calls, draft and send letters. File through ECF in federal and state court. Familiar with local rules, File and serve complaints. Update and manage trial calendar with an understanding of the importance of an accurate calendar. Legal research and writing, Draft legal memo s and documents plaintiff fact sheets, short form complaints, proposed judgments, non-dispositive motions; edit and proofread all written material. Track all hours in case management software. Prepare trial binders, prep witnesses, create PowerPoints, prepare exhibits. The candidate must have 2 to 10 years of Personal Injury Mass Tort experience. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail are must. Must be Positive, upbeat, team player and Client focus. Desire to help people and make a difference is critical. A professional image for firm, with strong written and oral communication is necessary. Ability to work in fast paced environment while staying calm and on task is essential. Must be creative and innovative mindset and able to create, implement, and manage new systems and processes. Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision is desired. Must be competent with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, case management and billing software.
