Litigation Paralegal The candidate will provide attorney support with drafting and filing pleadings, affidavits, notices and motions. Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses. Calendar Court deadlines and maintain attorney calendars. Prepare foreclosure judgment packages and hearing packages pursuant to Judge and County requirements. Organize and index deposition and trial binders. Compile and organize deposition and trial exhibits. Capable of managing a case load of over 100 litigated files. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks. Update client systems (LPS, TEMPO, VENDORSCAPE, SERENGETI) and the firm case management system with status updates and hearing results, as required. Review exception reports for escalated files. Oversee timeline management deadlines via Perfect Practice to ensure all files remain in compliance. Review and advise on files for audits received by compliance for rebuttal and/or remediation. Responsible for providing monthly status reports for clients. Communicate with opposing parties, Judge's Assistants and clients. Liaise between internal/external third parties. Any other responsibilities assigned by the Attorney and/or Manager, as applicable. Paralegal Studies Certification preferred; 3- 7 years experience with Foreclosure Litigation. Should have ability to speak, read and write in the English language; Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization. Paralegal Certification preferred. Must have civil litigation experience handling plaintiff-side foreclosure cases. Must be organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced, high-volume office environment and must be capable of making independent decisions. Must have good research and investigation skills and understand legal terms.
