Workers'Compensation Paralegal Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, is looking for a highly skilled Workers'Compensation Paralegal to join their team. This role will work closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant to ensure the successful execution of case files. Responsibilities E-file all court documents with OJCC Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties relevant to the case files Conduct factual investigation Prepare discovery documents and responses Draft and serve subpoenas and notices Coordinate depositions (IME and EMA appointments, conference calls) Draft pleadings and motions to file with the court Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes Organize medical composites, exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices Aid attorneys discovery requests Gather and maintain relevant information from a variety of sources (ex: medical records, witnesses, and clients) Help with witness preparation Prepare case settlements and execution of settlement documents with clients Qualifications Associate degree or higher, certificate, or equivalent work experience Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury related practice areas preferred At least 2 years of working experience as a paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting Ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail #LI-AV1 Morgan & Morgan is searching for a Workers'Compensation Paralegal to join their team. This role will be responsible for assisting a lead attorney and legal assistant in the successful execution of case files. Successful candidates will have an associate degree or higher, a certificate, or equivalent work experience; completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred. Candidates must also have experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, Medical Malpractice, or other injury related practice areas, and at least 2 years of working experience as a paralegal or in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting. The Workers'Compensation Paralegal will be responsible for filing all court documents with OJCC, communicating with clients, courts, counsel, and other parties relevant to the case files, conducting factual investigations, drafting discovery documents and responses, drafting and serving subpoenas and notices, coordinating depositions, drafting pleadings and motions to file with the court, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, organizing medical composites, exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices, aiding attorneys discovery requests, gathering and maintaining relevant information from a variety of sources, helping with witness preparation, and preparing case settlements and execution of settlement documents with clients. The ideal candidate must have excellent multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills, be able to handle a fast-paced environment, manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
