Cyber Security Attorney The candidate will be independently managing a caseload of working cases from beginning to end. Provide clients with cybersecurity and data privacy advice. Communicating with clients and provide status reports. Responding to 24/7 cyber hotline calls. Triaging legal and forensics response to cybersecurity incidents. Advising clients on response to cybersecurity and data privacy incidents. Preparing data breach notification letters to individuals and regulators. Responding to investigations by State and Federal regulators. Defending third-party claims and lawsuits arising out of a data breach. Drafting privacy policies and procedures. Drafting reports and recommendations to carriers and clients. Drafting cyber coverage opinions. Should have a JD from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice in the state of New York. Must have 1+ years of experience in data protection and/or privacy and/or cyber liability. Experience handling data breach responses in a fast-paced team environment is desired. Experience advising clients on compliance with state, federal, and international privacy laws (including HIPAA, GLBA, GDPR, CCPA) is a plus. Must have strong written and oral communication skills. Legal project management experience is an asset.
