Litigation Attorney The candidate will represent clients in court or before government agencies. Will prepare cases for trial, including drafting demand letters, complaints, discovery requests, as well as responding to discovery. Deposing witnesses, both lay and expert. Engage in significant motions practice. Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial. Negotiate settlements when the case calls for that. The candidate should preferably have 3+ years of active litigation/trial experience. Should have Current admission to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia or ability to get admitted quickly. Must be comfortable trying cases in personal injury, medical malpractice, employment law, and corporate disputes. Very good writing and issue spotting skills are a must
