Legal Secretary The candidate will work under the supervision of an attorney and paralegal. Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to assigned attorney and paralegal; Produce and file various legal documents such as notices, appeals, motions or petitions with State and Federal Courts; Preserve an updated case record system; Provide phone coverage breaks for office receptionist on rotation basis; Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders; Should have proven experience as legal secretary. Must have knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and court system filing rules; Should have knowledge of Word Perfect, Word, and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, dictaphone etc); Working knowledge of litigation management software systems is a plus; Should have proficiency in English and outstanding time-management and typing skills. Experience of 2 years (Required).
