Paralegal - Trademark Duties: Handle large volumes of work associated with multiple clients. Prepare, file, and prosecute domestic trademark and copyright documents and coordinate trademark and copyright filings in foreign jurisdictions; record trademark and copyright assignments; search online trademark and copyright records; maintain and review the IP docket; draft correspondence; review Official Gazette; perform factual investigation and summarize information for attorneys and clients; perform preliminary review of trademark watch notices; and accurately capture and record time entries on a daily basis.
Qualifications: A bachelor s degree and/or paralegal certificate and previous law firm experience preferred. 4+ years of trademark prosecution experience is required. Experience with Trademark Trial and Appeal Board filings and domain name registrations a plus. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, IP Manager, and other data entry applications and programs. Solid interpersonal and teamwork skills, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong written and oral communication skills; impeccable organization skills; the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks with flexibility while maintaining a positive attitude; and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment are required. Flexibility for overtime a must.
