Family Law Attorney The candidate will act as first point of contact with retained clients. Will proactively and efficiently manage cases from beginning to end. Handle customer care, ensuring clients are up-to-date on the status of their case and feel informed about their options. Thoroughly document case progress through defined processes, as well as help develop those process in response to customer needs. Review, organize, and analyze client documents and document production. Review staff-generated pleadings and other office documents. Meet with supervising attorneys to regularly share information and define strategy. Use programs like MS Word, Excel, Clio, and Google Apps to communicate and report. Sit first chair on family law hearings and trials. Participate in marketing activities to promote law firm. Handle initial consults. Provide support and guidance for younger associates and paralegals. Manage and empower law clerk to learn about family law and assist with cases. Must be an active member with the Texas State Bar with 3+ years of family law experience. Should have sat first chair in a family law hearing. Should preferably have a background in family law, working with children, and/or working with parents. Must have a demonstrated ability to talk people off of the ledge. Should preferably be admitted to practice law in any state adjoining Texas and fluent in Spanish.
