Office Administrator / Legal Secretary The candidate opens, date stamps, sorts, and distributes mail. Answers telephone and provides information/assistance or routes caller to an appropriate staff member. Greets visitors to the office and directs them to an appropriate staff member. Composes and types routine correspondence using word processing software. Maintains both Soluno and QuickBooks accounting files. Performs Accounts Payable and Receivable and other accounting functions. Performs other related duties as required by Staff Members. Responsible for opening and closing the office. Should preferably have a degree in business/ legal studies/ accounting/finance. Must have 3-5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems. Knowledge of modern business communication, including style and format of letters, memoranda, minutes, and reports is required. Must have the skill to use a personal computer and various software packages (Microsoft office, adobe, internet, outlook, excel, accounting programs and PowerPoint, etc.). Have the skill to type 60+ words per minute. Must have the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision. Be self-motivated, intelligent, ability to learn quickly, ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, honesty, dedication, and a pleasant positive attitude.
