Nurse Paralegal - Personal Injury The candidate will obtain, review, analyze, evaluate and summarize medical documents. Will prepare medical chronologies of medical events and evaluate the relationship of those events to allegations. Draft demand letters. Provide information and/or educate attorneys or others involved in the legal process on medical facts and issues related to the case. Communicate with clients and doctors about medical treatment and diagnosis. Identify, locate, evaluate and confer with medical experts concerning health-related issues. Assist in assessing issues of damages and causation relative to a claim. The candidate should have B.S. qualification in Nursing. Previous hospital/medical experience in critical care, emergency room, and/or orthopedics is preferred. Previous personal injury demand writing experience is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology essential. Knowledge of ICD-10 coding needed. Knowledge Word, Excel, and general computer proficiency essential. Fast and accurate typing, data entry and word processing skills needed.
