Estate Settlement and Trust Administration Paralegal The candidate will work closely with attorneys in the settlement of estates and the administration of ongoing trusts. Should have regular, direct contact with clients and beneficiaries. Should have significant experience in the preparation and filing of probate documents from the preliminary filing paperwork to closing an estate, the marshaling and distributing of estate assets, and the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns, and fiduciary income tax returns. Should have significant experience in day-to-day operations of ongoing trusts, including the preparation and review of fiduciary accountings and fiduciary income tax returns. A Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate is preferred. 7-10 years of trusts and estates experience is required. Should also be self-motivated, possess a client-service skillset and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Should possess a strong mathematical aptitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, solid organizational skills, and an attention to detail. Should be proficient in the MS Office Suite and comfortable using estate tax, income tax and estate and trust accounting programs.
