Legal Secretary The candidate will welcomes guests and clients. Answer phone calls, email messages to the correct party and redirect calls when appropriate. Communicate with potential clients or other attorney's offices via email, over the phone, or in person in a professional manner. Sending faxes and making copies of legal documents. Edit and proofread legal documents. File, organize, scan, copy and fax legal documents in a timely manner. Schedule court hearings, depositions and other meetings. Request medical records and bills and follow up on requests. Input of attorney time for court appointed cases. Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and provide timely reminders. Maintaining client and firm files; opening and closing files according to Firm guidelines and procedures, ensuring all files are maintained electronically using document management system (MyCase). Prepare basic legal documents and correspondence. Maintains client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word . Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects and competing deadlines are required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and remain flexible to meet needs of attorneys, paralegals and clients are required. Exhibit strong work ethic and demonstrate ability to take initiative and anticipate what needs to be done while understanding and following specific, detailed instructions are required. Excellent communication skills and team player are required. Willingness to learn and develop skills, Excellent planning, organizational and attention-to-detail skills are required.
