Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Oversee post-judgment caseload. Preparing garnishments, lien requests and oral exams; field calls from debtors and discuss payment options; asset research. Handle landlord/tenant matters. Prepare district landlord/tenant forms and oversee calendar for pending matters.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university, with appropriate course work in paralegal, preferred. 3+ years of legal experience with collections and foreclosures. Experience with district court litigation and foreclosures. Knowledge of District and Circuit court litigations. Skill and experience with JST Collect Max essential. Skill and experience with Abacus preferred. Attention to details and ability to execute tasks with accuracy and professionalism. Exceptional Team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to properly maintain confidential information. Outstanding oral and written communications skills. Possession of technology competency (e.g., database, internet, spreadsheet, word processing, and related applications). Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently, great writing skills, computer proficiency, strong analytical and organizational skills, and attention to detail and accuracy is a must. Team player with ability to multi task to accommodate for handling a heavy case load preferred.
