Case Editor/Paralegal, Workplace and Campus Investigations Duties: Conducting independent workplace investigations, as well as investigations in educational settings on a broad range of issues. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast- paced, collegial environment. Assist multiple attorneys by managing their caseload of investigations from start to finish, including: Managing documents in a document management system (both hard- copy and electronic) Scheduling witness interviews. Proof- reading and formatting investigative reports. Coordinating delivery of reports and supporting documents to clients. Processing and tracking attorney expenses Performing document retention/case closure- related responsibilities. Create first draft of portions of investigative reports for attorney review, which will include: Synthesizing, collating, organizing and reviewing large amounts of information and data (including witness interview notes, emails and other documentary evidence). Drafting written sections, chronologies and charts. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Political Science. Strong writing skills and the ability to think analytically are required. Previous law firm experience, including exposure to different types of legal writing, desired. Be able to adjust to an ever changing work day. Strong writing and analytical skills are essential. Self motivated; collaborative and team oriented; flexible; dependable; detail oriented; focused; organized; ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines; strong writing skills; and, comfortable working in a small team environment.
