Paralegal The candidate's duties include: To draft, format and edit correspondence, pleadings, motions, memos and other documents. Proofread for grammatical accuracy correspondence, pleadings, motions, memos and other documents. Perform administrative functions including copying, scanning, faxing, etc. Process pleadings and documents to conform to the applicable rules of court and guidelines and file same in accordance with court procedures. Maintain and update attorney calendars in Timematters and Outlook. Actively manage calendared deadlines. Organize and prioritize caseload and conduct appropriate follow up. Maintain client files for completeness and accuracy. Assume responsibility for ensuring deadlines and obligations are timely met. Assist with receptionist duties as needed. Should have ability to type not less than 65 words-per-minute and maintain good accuracy. Must be proficient word processing skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint, working knowledge of the Internet as a research tool and for e-filing of court documents. Timematters experience is beneficial but not required. Must have at least three (3) to five (5) years of civil litigation experience. Should be firm amiliar with federal, state and local court procedures, including e-filing and Pacer. Must have excellent writing, grammar and proofreading. Associate (Preferred); Experience of 5 years (Preferred).
