Personal Injury Associate Attorney The candidate's will be responsible for handling a case load of primarily litigation cases with some pre-litigation cases. Duties include: client sign-up, coordinating medical treatment, drafting settlement brochures/demand letters. At times it may be necessary to travel for initial client sign up so that the firm maintains an active client/attorney communication will plan case development with the input of the Managing Attorney; perform legal research, write demands, follow medical treatment, communicate directly with the client as well as write motions, draft and respond to discovery, draft pleadings, support Managing Attorney at hearings, depositions, mediations, trial, etc., take/conduct depositions, etc. Will be responsible for handling all aspects of a litigation docket as well as trial strategy, trial, judgment, up to and including appeal for resolution of the case. will also be expected to individually attend hearings, mediations, depositions, trials, etc. Travel will be expected for client appointments and litigation matters as the firm handles cases throughout Texas and the U.S.
