Personal Injury Paralegal The candidate will be supporting three to four attorneys, including the senior partner, and working with senior paralegals in a fast-paced, paper-heavy environment. Managing multiple client case files. Opening client files and initiating claims. Calendaring deadlines, and scheduling various appointments. Tracking medical treatment and insurance policy coverage. Ordering medical records. Preparing demand packages. Drafting and Filing Complaints. Drafting and filing various pleadings. Answering discovery. Correspondence with the Court and opposing parties. Scheduling depositions/mediation. Keeping clients informed of case progress. Preparing settlement documents. Client, medical provider, insurance adjuster, and attorney contact. Performing various other administrative duties as they arise. Must have a Notary Public license. Should preferably have 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office. Experience in Georgia Workers Compensation is a plus. Experience with Time Matters or similar document management systems is a plus. Should have knowledge of personal injury/civil litigation deadlines and procedures. Bi-lingual is a plus. Should have excellent computer and telephone skills. Should be technical and detail-oriented. Should have the ability to handle existing caseload and perform multiple tasks with minimal instruction and supervision. Should be able to work cases up from initial call through litigation to settlement/judgment. Should have excellent communications skills. Should have time management and organizational skills.
