Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will communicate with clients, counsel, and court representatives. Manage legal documentation and correspondence. Coordinate appointments, including all correspondence and recordkeeping when necessary. Complete administrative duties such as greeting clients, making copies, recordkeeping, and answering and directing phone calls. Investigate case facts to ensure the consideration of all relevant information. Identify appropriate materials, legal articles, judicial decisions, and laws for assigned cases. Organize, analyze, and compile information. Collect and record exhibits. Develop written statements. Work with attorneys in order to draft documents and letters with existing legal templates. Prepare motions and pleadings for filing in court. Track and organize files from case documents to facilitate access and availability to attorneys. The candidate should have a two-year degree or equivalent certification. Should preferably have 1-3 years of working experience as a legal assistant. Should preferably have a Bachelor's degree. Should have 2+ years of MS Office, paralegal, and 5+ years of Computer proficiency experience. Experience in consumer law and knowledge of commercial transactions is a plus. Familiarity with MS Office. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
