Criminal Law Paralegal Duties: Assisting with new client intakes. Managing client files. Managing discovery. Routinely interact with DA s offices and the DMV. Routinely interact with clients. Assist attorneys as required. Perform legal research. Filing motions, pleadings, discovery. Perform related duties as required.
Requirements: Paralegal certificate or BA from an accredited university preferred. 2 years of experience dealing with criminal cases from intake to sentencing preferred. Thorough understanding of the online filing systems used by the various courts. Familiarity with Title 42 and DMV regulations. Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to work effectively in a high volume, fast paced environment. Reliable transportation absolutely required. Bilingual Spanish fluency is highly desirable.
