Associate Family Law Attorney Duties: Management of family law cases including involvement with clients and courts regarding divorce, custody, modifications, and contempt proceedings. Assists Family Law Department with a variety of assignments and projects. Handling divorce and family law cases. Custody matters. Prenuptial and Post Nuptial Agreements. Divorce Modifications and Parenting Plans. Proofreads and assists with editing documents for grammar, formatting, and typos. Create and maintain charts and spreadsheets in EXCEL. Organizes and manages all electronic and paper files. Assists paralegals with various tasks and assignments. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Experienced in Divorce and Family Law with 2+ years of family law litigation experience. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and other computer software programs (i.e., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software. Ability to navigate various electronic databases and document repositories. (i.e., document management software). Experience with Turbo Law, and Adobe Pro helpful. Experience with NetDocuments or other document management software. Experience with Elite Enterprise or other time and billing software. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to deal courteously/effectively with others. Ability to work independently or in a team setting. Ability to assume progressive responsibilities. Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities. Ability to work well under pressure. Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating needs. A team player and self-starter, who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, possesses strong Microsoft Word abilities, is extremely organized and efficient, and has the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
