The ideal candidate is an independent, motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, organized, detail-oriented and the ability to complete tasks thoroughly to conclusion. The ideal candidate is an independent, motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, organized, detail-oriented and the ability to complete tasks thoroughly to conclusion. The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys to meet with clients and will draft complaints, answers and discovery. Strong research and drafting skills are required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program or significant other relevant work experience is required. Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with related work experience and educational background. Parking is provided and other competitive benefits are available. H2: Responsibilities * Work closely with attorneys to meet with clients and draft complaints, answers and discovery. * Strong research and drafting skills required. * Prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings and appeals. * Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system. * Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations with a potential to affect legal proceedings. * Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes and documents. * Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. * Track and calendar deadlines for filing documents and other legal processes. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedures. * Provide general administrative support to attorneys. H2: Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree preferred. * Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved program or significant other relevant work experience required. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Organized, detail-oriented and the ability to complete tasks thoroughly to conclusion. * Ability to analyze and interpret laws, rulings and regulations. * Ability to research and draft legal documents. * Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and procedures.
