# Discovery Paralegal for Law Firm Law Firm of Joseph Lassen is seeking a Discovery Paralegal for their family law practice in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate must have at least three years of family law experience to be successful in this position. ## Job Description The Discovery Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the discovery process. These tasks include but are not limited to: * Obtaining and maintaining deadlines for all discovery, docket control orders and other firm deadlines. * Preparing all initial disclosures and responses to request for initial disclosures. * Preparing all inventories and maintaining up to date information on inventories. * Preparing all further requests for discovery past initial disclosures when given direction. * Working with the client and preparing answers to discovery propounded. * Working with Legal Assistant regarding documentation assembled in files. * Bates labeling discovery documents in Adobe. * Forensic discovery review of responses received and preparation of summary reports regarding same to attorneys. * Preparing all subpoenas. * Preparing all trial exhibits and exhibit lists. * Preparing all Rule 11 Agreements regarding discovery. * Rarely, phone back up support. ## Qualifications The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and must be capable of handling clients who may be anxious, upset, or distressed. Paralegals in family law must also communicate well with other professionals. The candidate must have experience with Excel and must be a team player and willing to take on tasks as they come and adapt when necessary. Bilingualism is preferred but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. ## Compensation Compensation commensurate with experience. - Starting range $55k ## Employment Type Full-Time ## Benefits Offered 401K, Dental, Medical
