Litigation Paralegal The candidate should preferably have following experience, but will consider candidates with strong backgrounds in similar fields of work: Working in a litigation focused law firm that appears before both state and federal courts; Drafting motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence; Obtaining, reviewing, and summarizing medical records; Obtaining, reviewing, and itemizing medical bills and subrogation liens; Communicate in a professional manner directly with current and prospective clients; Performing simple legal research; Assisting the attorneys with deposition and trial preparation; Using cloud based case management software, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel. Experience with TrialWorks is a plus; Timely docketing deadlines and maintaining attorney calendars; Organizing and maintaining legal files. Should have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an aptitude for quickly learning various other programs. Excellent administrative, writing, grammar and proofreading skills are required. Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred but demonstration of advanced legal training will be considered. 3 years of prior litigation experience in personal injury litigation in state and federal courts preferred.
