Legal Secretary The candidate must perform secretarial functions for attorneys requiring the highest level of accuracy and knowledge of legal formats, court rules and procedures, and must have expertise in legal and office software, Lexis Nexis, File and ServeXpress, and the ability to prepare legal documents with minimal instruction. Essential functions include managing office calendars, handling client contact requiring discretion and judgment, familiarity with e-filing and e-service procedures, maintaining complex case files in a digital format, providing administrative support, such as scheduling meetings, prioritizing mail, and answering routine correspondence, and maintaining a working knowledge of attorneys' area of practice. Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task to meet time deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills in communicating with all office personnel. Must be a team player and work well with co-workers and clients. Must have excellent attendance and be able to act as receptionist backup. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel), Abacus or other Legal Calendar System skills at a senior level are mandatory. Legal secretarial experience, minimum 5 years, with a strong civil litigation background.
