Recently established, the San Francisco office of this large national firm has blossomed and includes attorneys practicing in the areas of corporate law, mortgage banking and consumer finance, public sector technology and government contracts, civil litigation, labor and employment, and energy and project finance. The office anticipates rapid growth for the foreseeable future. The firm enjoys national renown for its commitment to its lawyers' professional development. Salaries are slightly below market.
Pittsburgh office seeks a conflicts analyst. The candidate will be responsible for analysis of conflicts search results and related new business intake materials. Responsibilities include analyzing and evaluating conflicts search results, providing a complete summary report of findings to the requestor, and identifying and/or facilitating resolutions for potentially complex legal and ethical conflict of interest issues. Will utilize internal and external databases and other legal resources to conduct research relating to conflicts resolution, obtaining necessary information on the nature of an entity s role in a particular matter and identifying relevant corporate affiliations. Knowledge of public company SEC filings, corporate family tree information, state corporation databases and other publicly available practice area information sources is needed. A thorough knowledge of the Rules of Professional Conduct relating to conflicts of interest is required. Knowledge of MS Office 2003 software applications is required. Significant conflicts analysis or significant paralegal experience is preferred (corporate experience preferred). J.D. degree is needed.
