Cyber Security Attorney Responsibilities: Independently manage a caseload of working cases from beginning to end. Provide clients with cybersecurity and data privacy advice. Communicate with clients and provide status reports. Responding to 24/7 cyber hotline calls. Triaging legal and forensics response to cybersecurity incidents. Advising clients on response to cybersecurity and data privacy incidents. Preparing data breach notification letters to individuals and regulators. Responding to investigations by State and Federal regulators. Defending third party claims and lawsuits arising out of a data breach. Drafting privacy policies and procedures. Drafting reports and recommendations to carriers and clients. Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school. Must be admitted to practice in the state of New York. 1+ years of experience in data protection and/or privacy and/or cyber liability. Experience handling data breach response in a fast-paced team environment preferred. Experience advising clients on compliance with state, federal, and international privacy laws (including HIPAA, GLBA, GDPR, CCPA) preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills. Legal project management experience is helpful.
