Junior Paralegal/Licensing Specialist The candidate will develop an understanding of licensing codes and regulations, including changes impacting a license. Develop an understanding of licensing procedures from application to license issuance. Interact with government agencies, including in-person meetings, such as the state of Nevada, local licensing departments, public safety agencies, including zoning, building, health, fire, and law enforcement agencies. Interact with clients and client representatives, including in-person meetings. Responsible for accurate and timely filing of license applications with appropriate licensing agencies. Ensure priority and rush assignments are handled effectively and efficiently. Assist in the review, audit, and tracking of applications and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with code requirements. Manage client databases for ongoing projects. Assist in special projects as assigned. Provide administrative support as requested, including mailings, photocopying, and scanning. Must have 2-3 years as a paralegal or license specialist, or equivalent work experience. Must have the ability to understand complex business structures, as well as to work overtime as needed. Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and in Adobe Professional software programs. The ability to track and use a time-billing program is essential. Be familiar with document management programs. Have strong time-management and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task. Strong attention to detail is needed. Have excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Be a self-starter, work well with a team and independently. Have the ability to travel throughout the Las Vegas valley. A paralegal certificate or equivalent related work experience is needed. Notary Public is desired or willing to become a Notary Public at company's expense. Must have a valid Driver's License and automobile. Must have permanent U.S. work authorization.
