Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be drafting standard pleadings including answers, third party summonses and complaints, combined discovery, disclosures, stipulations, general motions, proposed orders and notices. Processing and following up on authorizations for the receipt of medical, employment, tax, FOIL and other records. Reviewing and summarizing medical records. Conduct asset searches. Summarize transcripts. Document review, redactions, privilege logs and productions. Trial assistance and preparation. Communications with clients, experts and opposing counsel. Creating and maintaining medical record charts. E-filing court documents with State Court, Federal Court, Superior and District Court and Appellate Court in CT and various jurisdictions.
The candidate should have a bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification. 1 - 3 years of paralegal experience. Defense litigation experience preferred. Must be familiar with CT calendar markings. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite. Able to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to integrate into a fast paced environment.
