Paralegal - First Party Property Insurance Defense The candidate will support fast paced, high volume insurance defense litigation team. Work collaboratively with employees and clients of the firm. Manage legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence. Timely handling of highly sensitive issues and materials related to cases. Manage and organize case files. Manage court deadlines. Research background facts and information relevant to litigated and pre-suit matters. Prepare discovery requests, responses and summaries. Assemble chronologies of pertinent facts and documents. Assist in deposition preparation. Assist in mediation preparation. Assist in locating, retaining and working with experts. Prepare pretrial disclosures, trial notebooks, and exhibits. Communicate with opposing counsel, court, experts, and clients. Performs other duties as assigned. Should have 5+ years working experience as insurance defense legal assistant. Two-year degree or equivalent certification a plus. Must have familiarity with Outlook, MS Office, Adobe. Excellent typing skills with special attention to grammar and accuracy required.
